Bahaha AlphaNinja will be happy :3

Infernape....is an awesome powerhouse. Here are some sets i have and still use :

So you wanna Brawl eh?

Adamant, @ Life Orb/Choice Band.
252 Speed, 252 Attack, 4 Hp.
Blaze.
Close Combat, Flare Blitz, U-Turn, Stone Edge/Thunder Punch.

Infernape's two STAB moves; Close Combat and Flare Blitz, can alone destroy a lot of unprepared teams. U-Turn is there for switch advantage and if you find you're self in a sticky situation with which you need to get out of. Stone Edge is used to counter flying Pokemon's but more importantly, the dreaded Gliscor, who resists Infernape's STAB Close Combat and Flare Blitz, or you can use Thunder Punch to hit water's harder, such as Jellecent.

Mind Over Matter!

Modest @ Choice Specs.
252 Speed, 252 Sp Attack, 4 Hp.
Blaze.
Fire Blast/Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Grass Knot, Hidden Power Ice.

This set is the total reverse of Infernape's physical set, as it focuses upon his awesome special coverage and power. Fire Blast is the main attack, though the accuracy can make some users use Flamethrower over it. Focus Blast is the second STAB move and the power is immense in it.....though the accuracy, is well, nothing can be done about that xD Grass Knot and HP Ice round up the coverage nicely as it hit's the pokemon who resist Fire/Fight, such as Gliscor, Latios, Swampert.

Very Happy I sure am happy that infernape is POTW, and i got some very good sets for ape since it is a powerful sweeper with the fastest speed of all non-legendary fire and fighting types. So if you are looking for a fast fire or fighting pokemon which has great offencive stats, Infernape should deserve a spot in your team.

Mixape!

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature/Hasty Nature
- Overheat
- Close Combat
- Grass Knot
- Mach Punch/ Stone edge

This is one of the most popular Infernape sets in D/P/PT and it still works in fifth gen. the first move is overheat, a great special STAB move with crazy power, which should be put over flamethrower and fireblast. The special attack drop isnt going to be a problem as infernape will be switching in and out on opponents like blissey, ferrothorn and skarmory that can wall most of the OU metagame. Close combat is a nice physical stab move to get rid of special walls like blissey/chansey or common pokemon like heatran. Grass knot gives you a way to hit water types hard, but watch out for vaporeon as it doesnt do much to it. the last move is a choice between priority or coverage. If you have troubles with fast pokemon like scarfed terrakion, choose mach punch, but if you need to kill dragonite or gyarados before they set up, use stone edge.

Infernape @ Leftovers
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge/Mach Punch

This is the popular swords dance set that speed boost blaziken used before it went to ubers, Infernape still has access to it, and works just as well. Swords Dance is the crux of the set, doubling infernapes attack to 614 attack, able to OHKO almost all of the tier with Stab flare Blitz and Close Combat. Flare Blitz is to scorch pokemon like ferrothorn and Skarmory. Close Combat is good to kill steels.like i said in the above analysis, If you have troubles with fast pokemon like scarfed terrakion, choose mach punch, but if you need to kill dragonite or gyarados before they set up, use stone edge.

There are several options like the Nasty plot set for sp attacking, or the work up set to go mixed. Infernapes movepool is huge, so you can make your own moveset and play around with it. Infernapes Dream world ability is Iron Fist, which may sound bad, but if you fear the recoil from flare blitz, you could use fire punch instead, as that is boosted by Iron Fist. Iron fist also boosts mach punch, making it even stronger. so if you want to attack without recoil, or use priority without worring that it wont KO, Iron fist should be used over blaze.
